The Carmonti is located in Montijo, at 20 km from Lisbon, being one of the main units of the sector in the region.

The company CARMONTI, Indústria de carnes do Montijo, S.A., was founded in 1985 and became a public limited company in January 1996.

Being constant concern of Carmonti to put high-quality products on the market, never spared the investments, either in technology or in training.
This company employs more than 200 people and faces the difficulty in recruiting qualified personnel market, have been promoted vocational training courses under the operational programmes, the learning system in alternation.

The Carmonti is guided by implementing environmental management practices, so much so that it was part and parcel of our project a wastewater treatment station, as well as a factory of utilization of by-products, which turns much of the waste from the industrial unit in products intended for animal feed (meat, bones and lard for rations).

With State-of-the-art technology and with the implemented quality management system, the company is perfectly integrated into the internal market, on the basis of the production and marketing of the following products: fresh meat, frozen meat, kebabs, current smoked sausage, extra smoked sausage, smoked sausage ring, large smoked sausage, sausage, smoked shoulder sausage, flour sausage, black pudding, bacon, smoked shoulder, smoked loin, rolled ham, cooked shoulder ham, cooked leg ham , ham fillet, mortadella, smoked tongue, blood smoked sausage, fresh sausage, cooked shoulder sausage, cured ham, lard and pork crackling.

The company reached a level of workmanship that you can judge by sales volume, showing a growth trend at the moment.

At the beginning of the year 2009, this factory unit was acquired by AFF and C. Crisóstomo, guaranteeing and ensuring the continuity of the company’s success through an innovative business philosophy, based on the highest standards of quality, hygiene and food safety.
